From Discovery S03E05, the Discovery crew finally find Starfleet HQ in 3189 and among the ships there is the USS VOYAGER NCC-74656-J, the 11th ship to bear the name.

Considering it was the first ship to cross the Milky Way and make all those first contacts, it's cool Voyager gets to be the second (or third if you count Yamato NCC-1305-E) canon ship to get a letter suffix after it's name.

Might be the perfect opportunity for a cameo from the Doc in an upcoming episode!

I can't remember the exact timeframes, but shouldn't the Doctor (EMH backup) not have arrived back to federation space from his time in the Kyrian/Vaskin sector, after his time at the museum and being a medical expert after that to the Kyrian's in the Delta Quadrant. They even say at the end of the episode "Living Witness" that he left to find his own people.

Depends on if they can get Robert Picardo to put in an appearance. And explain why he looks older, of course.

No explanation necessary. He can appear however he wants. He's a hologram.

Oh, agreed. It was like in "Before and After", when he chose to have hair. The explanation would simply be something like "I wanted to look more distinguished." The only significant issue would be securing Robert Picardo.

Picardo has been doing fan films, Star Trek Online, and The Orville. They can get him involved with a personal phone call on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Then he would be most welcome.

I just saw him and Kate Mulgrew virtually attending the unveiling of the Janeway monument in Bloomington. It was cool to see them again.

I wonder if the ship in Prodigy will have an EMH... just a thought.

The Delta Quadrant is now a thing (Ocampa, the Kazon, Talax):

It'll have been 900+ years.

'Kazon Clan Forum' sounds to me like there has been some kind of alliance struck between the sects for a 'Forum' to exist.

Fascinating twist in the newest Discovery episode
Discovery gets a 31st century tech upgrade, and the new registry number NCC-1031-A to go with it
Which indicates the Voyager-J seen in "Die Trying" may be the very same ship Janeway commanded, but with 10 generations of refits.

Reportedly, CBS confirmed to TrekCore that the Voyager-J is also an Intrepid-class starship, but if so, I'm inclined to think that it's a new design that was designated the Intrepid-class of this era. It may even have been intentional by Starfleet because of its resemblance to the 24th-Century version.

When it came time to build the Voyager-J, the timing couldn't have been more perfect..

Both Connies and Excelsior variants were called the same, refit or not

So ships now change prefix when they are upgraded and not destroyed. I mean, okay I can live with it if they acknowledge that Starfleet changed this between the 24th and 32nd century... or it means the writers have completely messed up thinking the Enterprise A is actually the original Enteprise...

Well, yeah, Starfleet might run out of good, original names for ships and even ship classes after nine centuries :)

That episode takes place in 3074 about 20/30 years after the burn but it doesn't give a date for when the doctor leaves for Earth. It could take him an awful long time post burn unless he has another means of travel other than warp. He could potentially arrive in DIS time or have left many years after DIS time.

We don't see much of what is happening to that civilization in terms of warp so there is no canon problems

Only if they keep using British/US names for almost everything
