If VOY was almost already completely CG then why didn't they show the Voyager with more battle scares. It always bugged me that the ship always looked so pristine over the seven seasons.

it wasn't until season four or five that VOY sfx became primarily cgi-driven. but, even then most of the space flyby shots were recycled as is the case in most sci-fi tv shows. plus at that time, cgi fx for tv were still in the new stages and very expensive. that's one of the reasons we've been given as to why we didn't see more of species 8472 b/c it cost a buttload to render them.
