Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta Qua?

After reading publisher's description of the latest Voyager relaunch novel, a thought came to me for a future novel. Since previous Trek episodes and novels agree with concept of multiple universes, I wondered if future Janeway, from End Game, will be found alive?

Link to this description, please? Or are you talking about The Eternal Tide?

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

No, the description doesn't say anything like that. But the cover does have Janeway on it. It was just a thought I had.

It's been awhile since I saw EndGame and I don't recall if she was killed or not. So I wondered if they may resurrect Janeway that way.

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

Future Admiral Janeway was definitively killed in "Endgame." The Eternal Tide has nothing to do with her, except in the sense that it grows out of the consequences of her actions.

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

Thanks. I wasn't trying suggest that book has her in it. It was just a thought I had that the Voyager relaunch series could explore. But like you said, she is 100% dead, so it isn't possible.

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

True. It would be interesting to learn more about what happened to them in her timeline. We know some don't make it. And, they find or develop technologies to combat The Borg. Weren't they on the Beta/Delta terminus in End Game?

Aren't we Borged out enough by now? "Endgame" wasn't very popular. Fans didn't seen to like the older Admiral Janeway (a friend reckoned she had Barbara Bush's hair) all that much and we saw her sacrifice herself to the Borg. Let sleeping admirals lie.

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

I realize they were unpopular Klingon knock-offs, but I'd like to see what's become of the Kazon since we saw them last. Even if it's just a B plot.

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

Well I wasn't talking about the Borg specifically. I just mentioned what I remember from End Game and what happened to Voyager if they avoided the Transwarp Hub.

I'm more curious about the Voth and the Vidians. I know a later episode claimed the Vidians phage had been cured.

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

I think one of the stated goals of going back to the Delta Q, outside of finding out if the Borg are well and truly vanquished, was to combination mend-fences Voyager may have busted and find out how the years have been to some DQ species?

Anyway, I just wish we had more than one Voyager novel a year. I've grown weary of TNG/TOS. But that's all that sells, I guess. Least the TNG (read: Typon) stuff incorporates (or more) with DS9. That's something.

We have had several TNG books in the past few years that weren't about the Typhon Pact, such as Losing the Peace, Indistinguishable from Magic, and Books 1 & 3 of Cold Equations. That's maybe about tied with the number of TNG books that are about the Pact.

Having the new TNG Ebook coming out soon reminded me how that recently I've thought it would be nice to maybe have a Voyager Ebook novella come out in between the novels (if "only" coming out every year or so). It wouldn't have to be a big "danger" type story, maybe just a day-in-the life tale of the crew going about their duties, and showing a little more about the characters being on Voyager back in the Delta Quad.

Verily, Voyager visitations; Vidiians, Voth via Vesta vessels very vigorously validate, vindicate visionary voyage; vividly vitalize Voyager's value. Vilify Voth/Vidiian vacancy!

Vantastic 'V' volume.

Hopefully Voyager will revisit some of its book-only encounters (ie. Televek, Verunans).

Re: Voyager Relaunch: Will Future Janeway be found alive in the Delta

Maybe they'll have another run in with the CareTaker's mate.

I know a short story talked about the Ocampa, but it would be interesting to see how they turned out. If you disregard the short story, maybe they think Janeway killed their Caretaker and will want revenge.

Will the String Theory trilogy allowed us to see the Ocampa again, plus it explained why Voyager was travelling through the "Void" in the first episode of Season 5, and why Janeway was holed up in her cabin.
