On a lazy Sunday afternoon, I was reading up on various Voyager episodes on Memory Alpha, notably Future's End Part II. I came across this quote:

"They've got lasers! A black man and some bald guy!"
- One of the farmers [in the shoot out]

These paranoid supremecist farmers would have encountered Obama and Biden. With LASERS. But you know who they're talking about. Still, I've long argued that no US Administration is complete without LASERS.

Once again, Star Trek proves that it's visionary

Still, reading that on Memory Alpha brought a small and stupid chuckle to my face nonetheless. There's not much to make fun of Obama personally or physically, but Biden's hair plugs? That's prime material!

I will admit when I watched and heard that quote in Future's End I laughed histerically..but mainly because the farmer was talking about the Doc and Tuvok-not some president.

This thread only serves as an observation from a quote in "Future's End". Other than that, it serves no purpose so I'm not for sure if it'll end well or not.

That's the thing about predictions. They can happen say, oh, about 12 years before something actually happens. That's what makes them predictions!

Besides, if it were Riker and Data to the rescue (the Ladies Man and the Emotionless Robot, respectively), then yeah, the OP would've been a joke thread about Clinton and Gore. Except it wouldn't just be about Clinton and Gore, but rather Clinton and Gore with LASERS.

I actually remember that, as Jack Ryan was from my county! I had the good fortune to meet Obama in a church basement several years before his US Senate run. I though Ryan was likeable enough but Obama was more personable. Still, the whole scandal was a severe blow, and voting for Obama over Alan Keyes -- Ryan's replacement -- was one of the easiest votes I ever cast in my life.

By the way, Alan Keyes was a man of many contradictions to me: he's a severe homophobe, but his favorite show in all of TV is DS9. Go figure.
