Voyager on Jeopardy!

I'm ashamed. I was around that age then and I knew every answer. *Facepalm*

Horribly painful. It's such a shame my generation isn't more culturally aware.

You'd think they would've gotten the first one, at least -- popcultural osmosis being what it is, people SHOULD be able to recognize a Vulcan...

I'm joining the "That was painful to watch" Group. If they had guessed and been wrong, it would've been entertaining. They're grownups by now, can we mock them mercilessly? :rommie: Just kidding.

Although thinking about it, if I asked my girlfriend any of those questions she'd give me the same blank looks! I think we're biased!

I think my husband would give the same blank look too.

Actually he may get them right. I'll have to ask him when he gets off work.

He better at least get the Vulcan one, I know he knows who Spock is.

They should have gotten the Vulcan one at least.
Maybe the Geordi one too. If they never watched the show I can see how the Neelix, Doctor, and Quadrant questions could be hard.

I bet those kids would have had the same blank stare if you showed them a pic of Darth Vader's head and asked who it was. They probably spent their whole childhoods doing music and 4H and sports and never got educated in the truly important cultural landmarks. Not know what a Vulcan is, geez.

If they didn't watch VOY, I can understand most of it. But, HOW THE HELL do you not know who Spock is? :wtf:

Just remember kids, this is what happens when you spend every second of your lives studying. As Ferris Bueller once said...

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

That was from 1999!?! Voyager was still running at the time! I officially give up on the general public's understanding of Star Trek...

I don't know for sure, but I would have thought it would be nerdy type kids who apply to Jeopardy or however they get on that show. And generally isn't it nerdy people who would know about ST?

Oy vey, that's just embarrassing. Painful to watch indeed. The Vulcan one really is ridiculous. And the thing about Neelix, you couldn't even make a ballpark guess due to the context of the question?

In the 90s? I was a kid then, and most people my age were inside playing video games and watching the Disney channel. We few outside had the entire world to ourselves.
