Voyager: Full Circle extract in Star Trek Magazine 16

^Thanks for that - and we're addressing the white text on colored background with a revamp that will be seen in the next issue (the Leonard Nimoy piece gives a slight taste of what's to come).

My favorite article is Jill Sherwin's talk with Bryan Fuller. It was great!
:alienblush: Thanks! Bryan is always fun to talk to (as is Robert Wolfe who I spoke with for the previous issue) - I just wish Paul could have fit in even more of the interview where Bryan talked about the process of becoming/being a writer. Maybe in another issue? Please? :)

Do I detect a slight hint there?

The high points of the parts I did read were Mack and Bennett's articles about Neelix and The Doctor and Seven. Good stuff with good points in both. :techman:

I already gave props to Christopher on the Seven article, but it was certainly an oversight not to mention Mack's article on Neelix and the Doc.

I've always had a soft spot for Neelix, and this article really focused me on why that was.

Well done!

Nope. No slight hint. More like large pleading. :D I loved Bryan's stories about becoming and being a writer on Trek and how it influenced the rest of his work. But I'll readily admit to bias. :)

Hi, teya, my favorite fan fiction author. :)

I picked up a copy of the magazine last night, and I'm looking forward to it. Just glancing through, I really appreciate them lining up the books that are associated with each VOY season. I can see I am missing some that I need to get.

Thanks for the thread; I wouldn't have known about the magazine without the heads up.

It's something that as a fan used to really bug me that you couldn't find that info quickly - and kudos to Jeff Ayers and the timeliners for the info. You'll find similar entries for all 5 series in the relevant "season" issues...
(ETA: er, no, not the original series - we didn't have enough pages!)

^ ^ Uh oh -- are the back issues available for the other series? And would you happen to know which numbers they are?

Memory Alpha has the listings and Titan Magazines' website will have details of the back issues available - sorry, can't remember the numbers off the top of my head!

Paul --

Really nice issue. Also, a VERY slick magazine. (I mean that in the classic definition as in "upscale, high-end and well done.")

Oh, and very entertaining sidebar on page 28. ;)

Has the magazine made it's way to the British shores yet?

Have you seen it in a shop yet? If not, no... as repeatedly stated, it will get out to shops as soon as it arrives!!!

ETA: you could always subscribe then you'd know exactly when it was available in the UK... (grin)

Paul, it made it into the NYC shops while we were at Farpoint. I just picked up 5 copies yesterday for my Shore Leave stash. Don't worry, kids, there were still 7 more copies left on the shelf. I didn't have enough in the business account to afford all of them on top of what I was getting. ;)

Had a look at this issue in the store this weekend - I look forward to buying it as soon as I have the spare capital (yes, I'm that broke). The Jeri Ryan interview in particular looked very interesting.

I liked how for the different articles there was a listing of novels, comics, etc that took place in year one, year two, etc.

was something like that ever done for DS9?

i also like the bit in the jeri ryan interview where she started talking about the seven/chakotay romance at the end. the actors specifically asked if that's where they were headed. the answer was "no way". then that's exactly what they did. man i loved that about voyager, consistency!!!!!

As I believe Paul said earlier in this thread, it's been done for every series except TOS, whose tie-ins are just too numerous.
