Voyager Doesn't Return to Earth in the Finale (hear me out)

Captain Braxton told Sam that leaping was pretty much what he was destined to do.

You probably meant that as a joke, but I seriously do think that Al the Bartender (from QL's final episode) is indeed Braxton.

Not just because Bruce McGill played both roles. I literally think it's the same character. Of course we'll never know for sure, but that's totally going in my headcanon.

Well, Braxton was an asshole. Al the Bartender wasn’t.
 
I don't understand why the writers would have done that. Hey, they got back to Earth, oh no wait, it's not our earth, oh that's ok, our earth is just a day away. Fade to credits. Really?

I don't want to dismiss your theory but it's a very anti climatic choice if they had done that. Kinda like Riker ending 'Enterprise' with "computer end program".
