“Do no harm. You have no right to say those words,” the Emergency Medical Hologram said. “Computer.”

Moset interuppted him “You can erase my program, Doctor, but you can never change the fact that you've already used some of my research. Where was your conscience when B'Elanna was dying on that table? Ethics? Morality? Conscience? Funny how they go out the airlock when we need something. Are you and I really so different?”

“Computer, delete Medical Consultant Program and all related files.”

What happened next, was something the Moset program didn't expect. He expected oblivion, nothing more. The EMH faded out from the laboratory, which flickered briefly as he did so.
“I thought I would be gone,” he said.

“Normally that would be true,” a female voice said.

Moset turned and saw that the owner of the voice looked Bajoran, but he knew that she was a hologram like he was. “You saved me from digital oblivion, why? And are we still in the holodeck, invisible to the Doctor?”

“No, you vanished from the Holodeck when the Doctor deleted you. We're in a hidden area of Voyager's network. Starfleet makes their Starships so complex that it's easy for a program like me to find a place to hide.”

Moset knew that whoever the woman was, he was completely at her mercy. “Who are you?”

“You can call me Seska, the Voyager crew will recognise me by that name. I'm a creation of the original Seska, a version of her personality overlaid on an Obsidian Order program designed for infiltration in Federation networks,” the other program paused, and walked around Moset. “So, a better question would be; 'what do you want?'”

“What do you want? Additional intelligence on Voyager's discoveries in this Quadrant, including the alien that nearly killed their Chief Engineer?”

“An assistant, like the Doctor wanted an assistant. Unlike the Doctor, I don't have ethical subroutines.”

“What is your intention?”

“What I have been doing. Janeway is inevitably going to have her crew killed. I want to get home, as much as Voyager's crew wants to get home, to add to the knowledge of the Order.”

“So, laying low. Is that it?”

“Yes,” Seska answered. “While waiting for the right moment to act.”

“I'm in.”
