[Falconer]

It’s the most quotable movie, surely. I like that it resists a temptation that many Trek movies fall into, to “have it all.” It’s just a very watchable, very likable story that hits all the right notes. The only really essential movie, IMO. (I’m more of a TV fan overall.)

TVH is still my favourite Trek movie.

It's perfectly lighthearted after the pall of the preceding two films and I don't consider Acts II and III to be dated at all. They're exactly what they should be for a film set in 1986.

And we get Kirk doing every facepalm a meme maker could ever want when Spock goes for a swim.
