The long-awaited follow-up to Voyager: Architects of Infinity from the New York Times bestselling author and cocreator of Star Trek: Picard!

As the crew of the Full Circle fleet works to determine the fate of their lost ship, the Galen, a struggle for survival begins at the far edge of the galaxy. New revelations about Species 001, the race that built the biodomes that first drew the fleet to investigate planet DK-1116, force Admiral Kathryn Janeway to risk everything to learn the truth.

Review: Chapters.ca is reporting that “To Lose The Earth” is now available and shipping. Of course the Chapters website is also saying that the physical version will not be available in stores—-it will be online only.

Even if it's a bit too soon. A poll should be added to this thread.....

With the physical you never know when stores will have it and will start shipping, unless it is a special release.

As for a poll, I’m using a phone this afternoon, and I don’t like adding more intricate stuff like that with a phone.

This is going to be weird. Saying goodbye to these folks all over again, just like back in 2001.

I remember liking the last book and the cliffhanger, but it was so long ago that I have the details forgotten.

Is there a spoiler summer anywhere to remind me what happened before I start the finale?

I re-read the book Architects of Infinity to to recall story plots from the book. I'm really looking forward to reading this book and finding out what's happened to the Starship Galen and What happened to Harry and his girlfriend too since they were onboard the Galen at the end of the previous book..

So I started reading the book today and already
there is a big continuity issue in Chapter 1. Harry, upon waking up after the assault by the alien ship, thinks back to how Voyager looked after the Caretaker had pulled Voyager into the Delta Quadrant, and in his head explicitly says that that was SEVEN years prior to To Lose The Earth. To Lose The Earth takes place in 2382, whereas Caretaker took place in 2371. Also the 7 years doesn't work with Endgame as that took place in 2378. 7 years prior to 2382 would be 2375, which would be Voyager's 5th Season (the Historians note places To Lose The Earth in September 2382), probably around the time of Someone To Watch Over Me & Relativity, but Harry specifically recalls the events of Caretaker.

^Sounds more like a typo than a continuity issue.

Okay, so when did Lucsly become Director of the DTI?

Also, I’m at this point (Chspter 5) I don’t see how all the new plot threads will be wrapped up in this book. If this is the finale to the Relaunch, then it’s ending on a cliff-hanger, which is fitting seeing as how the Voyager TV series ended on a cliff-hanger with fans wondering what happened to the Maquis crewmembers and the Equinox crew once Voyager reached Earth, and of Harry Kim finally got his promotion!

Not anymore... I picked mine up in store today!

Of course, about three hours after I got home, I was reading the news and saw that the provincial government had asked residents yesterday to revert back to only leaving the house for essential trips. Oops! :alienblush: (Although, I was definitely not the only person in the bookstore.) So in hindsight I shouldn't have been out, but I'm glad at least that I was able to get the book before going back to only leaving the house for groceries.

You might want to review TNG’s “Perfect Mate” before reading this book as one plot point, which was in the previous books, but because of the time between you may’ve forgot, is explained in that episode.

With the cover of this book, I think the artist was trying to incorporate those flashlight flares that have become the norm in Trek productions since the 2009 film. There seems to be one at the bottom right of Voyager’s saucer.
