VOY Easter Egg

DominionAct

Ensign
Newbie
hey all.
I think i discovered a easter egg
in a episode of Star Trek: Voyager.
In season 6, Episode 15 - Seven of Nine
is fighting against her will with
a hirogen male in a Tsunkatse tournament.
While fighting the camera is aimed on
some of the audience.
In that view you can see 2 dominion
Jem-Hadar Warriors.
Is there any data about dominion and
Jem-Hadar activity in de Delta-Qwadrant
the Time Voyager was stranded there.
I know Voyager was in the Delta-qwadrant
2 years before the Alpha and Delta Dominion
war.

Easter Egg Jem-Hadar Season 6 Episode 15
35:07 min - 35:04 Min

Maybe a few Jem'Hadar killed their Vorta overseer and escaped from the Founders with a fast ship and a crapload of ketrucel white, and found new lives as Tsunkatse fighters.

Of course. They didn't kill their Vorta overseer (Weyoun clone), he was in on it.

Maybe his Jem'Hadar were the original Tsunkatse opponents, but they have retired now (short lifespan and all); they still come to watch.

If it's absolutely necessary to think they're Jem'Hadar and come up with an explanation for it, the simplest explanation would be that the Caretaker brought in a Dominion ship during his quest for a compatible mate, perhaps right around the time when Voyager was taken, so he didn't have the strength to send either ship back. Future enemies then unwittingly crossed paths at the tournament.

In that case, he must have brought alongside an important shipment of white otherwise they would be dead.

Well, nobody said making of white would be difficult. The Jem'Hadar themselves just generally lack either the means, the knowledge, or simply the permission.

These could also be survivors from a large contingent of troops, there always being one or two per <insert number> who aren't truly dependent on the substance, as per "Hippocratic Oath".

...Not that there should be any shortage of species with scaly faces. But the idea of some Jem'Hadar roaming the universe on their own is fun in its own right. If they can't serve their gods, what are they going to do with their time? Attending Tsunkatse games might well be their cup of tea; perhaps they're making notes for when they themselves enter the games.

The whole point of the white was to keep the Jems subservient, so I think the founders would make sure that they can't replicate the white, either by keeping it a well-guarded secret or making the Jems psychologically unable to make the white, like a psychological barrier if you will.

Remember that the Jem wanted Bashir to free his men of the white NOT to make more white or a white substitute. There has to be a reason.

The Jem'Hadar state that they would be loyal, even without their dependency on white used to ensure that. It's because they were engineered that way. Similary the Vorta worship the Founders but I can't help but wonder whether the founders had installed some hidden 'safety valve' to ensure they would never rebel either, just in case, one we never see in the series. They seem paranoid enough for that.
