I posted this image:

In the funny pictures thread (formerly known as the thread bomb thread) and was about to post this one of me trying to play the number one Vuvuzela hit "Bzzzzzzzzzzz":

And then it dawned on me; maybe there are other Trek-BBS'ers who'd want to play along in an internet-concert! -We could make world history; do a world tour (on YT), we could be banned from every known site that has sound, we could become infamous like no-one has ever been before!

So, in short, do you have a vuvuzela?

:bolian: to the thread title.

 to the "instrument".

Drove me away from watching much of the WC. Just so annoying. And here I thought "thunder sticks" were bad .... :p

Oh, lordy, these drive me nuts! One advantage of England having been eliminated is that I hardly hear any of these damned things now. :rommie:

I suppose everyone has a;ready seen this but it does tally with my opinion of the vuvuzela

Back in the iron age (first to fourth century) they had a wooden instrument around here tht could ake the same kind of noise... here's a museum guy with a reconstruction:

I have one I brought from the local Brazilian soccer shop. I love 'em.

It's kind of a rythmic droning that puts me to sleep.
