I'm absolutely puzzled by how the calculation of scores works on IMDb. I'm talking about the usual, non top-250 movies here, as I've heard that the criteria for voting on the top ones are even more absurd. I've tried voting on a couple of movies with a really low vote count, so that I could see whether my votes got counted or not. Well, waiting for more than a day (votes are updated daily) I saw no change in the vote count, weighted average, demographics, and etc.
I've voted about 500 movies and series so far, and had filled the optional details earlier, as I've read that these are necessary for your votes to be counted. Also did the survey just to be sure. What else am I missing here? Thanks!
