Voting: February Challenge - The Newbie

It's time to cast your votes for the February Challenge entries. Thanks for those who submitted stories - there are some great ones this month! Standard rules apply - you may vote for two entries. DEADLINE is February 23 at 2:00 PM CST, due to the changeover to vBulletin.

Mistral's Lost at Home. It had a great premise and some real interesting characters, ripe for some form of continuation.

and

ghiaman74's Taking Over, had a great suprise twist, terrific dialogue and prose and fascinating characters.

It be to tough to pick a runner-up. Choosing just two to vote for was difficult enough this month.

like cejay said-its tough to pick this month. Liked Taking Over, Liked New Kids..., heck, liked them all. But Darkush sort of smashed everything in his path on the way to the top, in my opinion. Gibraltar hit the topic in a weirdly appealing way as well so that's who I voted for. Great Job everyone! :thumbsup:

I voted for "First Day" by Gibraltar and "Blooded" by DavidFalkayn as these to me were the two most gripping stories, with "Lost At Home" by Mistral a close third.

A great field of strong contenders this month, and some really terrific stories. It was difficult to pick only two, but the ones I ultimately selected are DarKush's Death Valley and ghiaman74's Taking Over. DavidFalkayn's Blooded was a very close third/honorable mention.

I agree, ya'll put out some very good stories this month. I'll be honest, I don't like saying who I voted for in these things--I kind of think of them like presidential elections . But, if I could have cast six votes, I would have for each one of my fellow entrants--you were all very, very good.

I thought Zubby was a great story (yeah, I wrote it). But I didn't post it in the correct column. But do not worry. I will work ZUBBY into one of my fan fics. He needs the money to substain he sinful Tribble life

Well done DarKush! And thanks to those who voted for Taking Over. Every story was very strong. I think on a whole the reason is because of the strong characters that came across in so few words.
