Agreed. It's one of those albums that I can always come back to and never get bored of, even though it only has six tracks (but it's quality not quantity.)

I remember seeing him live at the Trafford Cricket ground around the time he released Heathen and between the new material and familiar classics he played an incredible live version of Stay which sounded amazing.

One of the best gigs I've ever been to.

I remember me and a friend talking about Bowie's latest album when we were at school. We we eight years old. The album was Diamond Dogs. I can't remember a time when I wasn't a Bowie fan...

And when I saw him live he sang "All The Madmen". Oh, yeah. :D

Huge fan of Bowie here too.

Here's my list:

Space Oddity,
Ch-ch-changes,
Life on Mars?
Heroes
(the album being my favorite Bowie Album),
China Girl (it was my first Bowie song in the early Eighties)
and I chose Wild is the Wind as well.

Good thread, auntie!

Young Americans is one of my favourite Bowie albums, all in all. I remember I bought the cassette when I was in the UK for the first time back in 1987 (it was almost impossible to find it in Italy at the time, so you can imagine how happy I was when I finally got it!) and I used to listen to it on my walkman, over and over and over again.

I just want to say that I think the album Earthling is underrated. It's got an endearing awkwardness to it, but actually a lot of the music really rocks (The Last Thing You Should Do is obscure fantastic).

Also, big props to the album Low, which is great even if it was hit-free. Songs like Breaking Glass...

Finally, I too must give a big honorable mention to The Laughing Gnome.
