When I posted the poll I clicked the post thread button and it timed out, I came back to the page a little later and clicked the post thread button and it worked, apparently the first time I clicked the post thread button it had worked but not redirected me to the thread like it usually does and I ended up with two threads. I'm presuming the daily backup occurred between me clicking the post thread button and me being redirected to the new thread the first time. Anyways we have two voting threads so yes it's an experiment started by serendipitous means.

If you wanted to get rid of one, I think the mods are usually willing to perform the sacred thread deletion ritual, as long as you ask really nicely and supply your own pig's blood.

Well, I figured the numbers of the two polls are added up, but I just noticed that some users have voted for the same entries in both polls. So, yeah, that needs some figuring out.

Thanks for the votes, especially to @OldSmokey who felt so strongly about my X-Wing avatar he voted for it twice. I'll try to come up with a new contest in the next day or two, hopefully one that will do you all justice.
