I'm genuinely surprised and pleased to have gotten votes this round; I wasn't really expecting any. For whatever reason, The Dark Crystal doesn't get much love around here. It's one of my favorites, though.

Liking or not liking a show or movie is only one part of it for me, and not always even a very large part. Sometimes I'll vote for something based on a show I can't stand, just because someone has made what I think is a really good image out of it. Conversely, I've often opted against voting for an av based on a show I do like, simply because I don't think the image works very well. Sometimes, I don't even clearly know why I like something; I just like it more than this one or that one.

For the record, I don't think I've ever seen The Dark Crystal, and thus have no real opinion on it one way or the other. I just liked the way the av worked.
