Besides, if a man wins an avatar contest called "Beauties" with Christina Hendricks in it then we have all moved to that alternate universe from Futurama where nobody has eyes.

I messed up and voted for one instead of three, and no, that one vote was not for myself. I saw a Hoshi avatar and my mind turned to mush. ;)

Thanks for the votes. It is special this time since the picture I used is one I took at VegasCon. That may not happen again. I don't take many pictures that I like well enough for people to see.

Trust me ... voting for your own avatar is perfectly acceptable. That's why when I set up the polls on these I set it to hide the ID's of who voted for which option, on the chance that folks might feel uncomfortable with others knowing.

Sincere thank yous to everyone on the votes, especially since the competition was so intense with quality. Also, I had some trouble trying to make it, as I was trying to use Premiere Elements to add a few nicer transitions. In any event, I should have the new subject posted sometime later this evening.
 
The character of Arwen as been a favorite of mine ever since "Fellowship of the Ring" first came out. (corniness alert....), in some ways she reminds me of my wife. Good with a blade, not afraid to kick my butt, yet always knowing when to encourage me.

Then again my wife doesn't have pointy ears.
 
Okay.... I'm thinking this week's contest should be "The Way We Were".

Avatars of shows, actors, characters as early as possible - within reason - in the life of their related franchise. Or something from as early as possible in YOUR viewing life. It can be approached creatively, with some flair and fun.

Or does that sound too limiting?
