Posting this on request from Dulak (see the challenge thread)

Here are your month's stories.

Captain Gold - It's a Significant Assignment
Mistral - First Contact Cliffhanger
mirandafave - Gateway Crossover
Myasishchev - Our Gentle Persuasion
Funngunner - Objects in Motion
RobertScorpio - Star Trek Phase One
Gumnut - It went bang
ghiaman74 - The Fissure
Starkers - Stolen Angel

Vote for your two favourite stories.

Voting will close on April 4th (if I've done that bit right!)

If I've missed anyone shout loudly.

OK...there were a lot of good entries, the majority of which by MY personal understanding (don't know about Dulak's) didn't necessarily fit the challenge, because I saw no reason from the part presented to think that the "reveal" after the cliffhanger was going to be something non-canon. So here is my favorite story that also fit the criteria the way I saw them.

Congratulations, MISTRAL!!! :)

That doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of other good writing submitted this month! And I still want to see a lot of them finished. :)

I will also give an honorable mention to ghiaman74, for being so faithful to the challenge instructions, and writing such a chilling story.

Objects was great and I sent a vote towards It Went Bang-but this is the first vote where I kept changing my choices over and over, undecided. What a great field of entries!

I voted for Mistral as it was the perfect shock cliffhanger that I'd want to see resolved and discover what led up to the events. Also lent a vote to Objects in Motion. I liked it a lot too.

You missed "Star Trek: Exeter" (Lest We Forget.) Please add to the list of voting options.

Sorry, was it in the challenge thread?

I've just double-checked the thread, and I can't see it. My understanding from previous challenges was that only stories linked in the challenge thread were considered entries, so I didn't bother to look elsewhere.

I admit, I haven't been following this month's challenge, I only posted the voting thread because Dulak left a request in the challenge thread that I happened to see.

What do people think?

It's always been pretty clear that you need to post a link in the challenge thread and it's not like Hellsgate is a newbie around here...

Perhaps Hellsgate story could be a write in. Would be voters for his story could put their vote in a post in this thread.

Okay - here's the way it'll be.

I'm not re-starting the vote. I have sent a PM to anyone who has already voted (and announced it in the thread) telling them that Hellsgate's story is missing and do they want to change their vote.

If anyone else has already voted, and want to change - send me a PM.

Everyone else - write in if you want to vote for Hellsgate's story Star Trek Exeter: Lest We Forget.

Sweet, I got one vote. It wasn't me, though, I voted for Starkers because his Orion Syndicate guy's species reminded me of Tiny Attorney.

Okay you guys are doing this deliberately to drive me crazy!

We have a tie!

Mistral and Funngunner

toss a coin? arm-wrestle? extra vote?

You can vote twice?

Edit: Yes, I suppose you can, because it says so, right at the top of the poll.
