ENT (Enterprise) Avatar Contests are avatars made and posted by members in the "ENTER" threads. There's one for each series sub-forum (as well as single entry contest in the other forums). Series avatar contests have three entries; one that's from an episode, chosen by the previous episode winner; one being a theme that can be pulled from any episode, chosen by the previous theme winner; and another that's random, chosen by the previous random theme winner. Runners of the polls decide how many you can vote for and how long the contest lasts but the general standing rules are the same for the avatars used on the TrekBBS, dimensions can't exceed 150 x 150, it can't be larger than 140kb and you have to host the avatars yourself on Photobucket, Deviantart, or any other image hosting site. Also they have to be family-friendly.
