Well, I've voted.

Some hard choices here in fact I would say almost unbearable.(ha) I had to go for DN's chuckle brothers and Eyes330 with that wonderful portrait of Morn.
For the brilliant DS9 theme I just had to go with the Ferengi's wonderfully reserved reaction to the loss of their bargaining chip. For the second, well it has to be that Jemmie being given the shock of his very short life by a certain little ship.
For the random theme I've gone with the avatars most likely to disturb me so congratulations Maire1 and SPCTRE

(Seriously man, I can hardly look at SPCTRE'S entry, what a terrifying beast...)

Oi... erm... ummmm....

If I remember the rules from before, people who don't follow the rules when voting have their offending votes subtracted (in my head, not literally, unless mods can change it). At least since this is the first time in my reign that it's happened.

I've heard complaints about the "can't vote for yourself" rule in the Commie Lounge contest, so I'm wondering if maybe it's not a rule in all forums? But I think it's a fair one, and it is in that first post.

Personally, when I run contests & someone votes for their own entry, I just ignore that vote, and mentally subtract one from their total.

But that may just be me.

I believe it's been a rule in the DS9 forum as long as I can remember. Many of the Fanfic forum contests have the same rule, though the contest-runner has more discretion there to lay out the rules.

But it's been a long time since someone actually did it, so I wasn't sure what the remedy for it was.

I'm going to go with "Recurring guest characters" -we had a similar theme, but that was maybe... 50+ contests ago, and it wasn't quite the same, according to my list.

I'm off to make the new contest. =)
