OK, this is the corrected poll!!!!

Please note: This vote is public. Anyone who votes for themselves, or votes for more than TWO entries WILL have their votes thrown out.

Here are all legal entrants:

DarKush--"Toil and Trouble"
Elias Vaughn--"Kang's Summit"
Kaziarl--"Interview with a Mirror"
KobayashiMaru13--"Mirrored Division"
Mistral--"In the Pit"
PSGarak--"Qb'd"
The Lone Redshirt--"Close Encounters of the Awkward Kind"
TimmyWI--"Double in a Dream"
trampledamage--"We're Not in Kansas Anymore"

Thor Damar--I know you expressed interest in entering, but I checked the contest thread and did a search on all threads you've started, and did not find it.

So, as it stands, we have nine legal entries. Please vote for your favorite TWO! Voting closes midnight of the 4th, CST.

Several excellent entries this month. Choosing was difficult, but I went with Mistral and Elias Vaughn. Those two stories showed great imagination in interpreting the theme.

Timmy Wi and Elias. Timmy's was surreal without losing me(normally, I hate surreal) and Elias had me at "Hello". That having been said-so many good entries! Truly, anyone could have had my 2cnd vote-Timmy got it because this is the first thing he's written I've liked. (Nothing to do with skill-it's all about my poorly developed taste in literature!) Everyone should be proud of what they did this month. Consider your backs collectively slapped, followed by a big "high-five!":techman:

ed.-TY, TLR! *blushes*

2cnd ed.- um, sorry, not seeing a vote there....:wtf:

I was about to vote for Mistral, but then I realized I'd confused "In The Pit" with A Haunting Challenge entry from adastra :) .

Anyways, my votes went to PSGarak and Kaziarl.

ED- I is sad :( . I have no votes. :(

Mine went to Mistral and Kangs Summit. They were the most intriguing to me, but were tied with a few others.

Hey, I got a vote! I feel accomplished now.

Thanks for getting the poll up, Nerys. Apparently, my internet issues were a combo modem and net. I haven't been able to connect most of the day. Internet finally came back around 5 PM or so EST.

I had to throw my votes to Elias Vaughn and The Lone Redshirt. Loved both of them for very different reasons.

TLR and Elias Vaughn get my votes...but kudos to the rest of you as well. Unfortunately I started writing my novel this month which has limited time on my other projects. I hope to do better this month.

TLR and EV got my votes as well. Unfortunately I didn't get to everyone's stories but those were the two I enjoyed the most out of the ones I read.

This was a hard decision! All of these stories are worthy of a vote. Mistral I knew was getting my first vote, but for my second... very difficult to decide. I went with DarKush's Toil and Trouble because I remember how surprised I was at the ending, and I am very intrigued by Captain Glover.

I accidentally voted for only one. Is there anything I can do to cast that other vote, or am I out of luck?

TrampleDamage,

Thanks for the vote. I'm glad you found Captain Glover intriguing and that you liked the ending.

I'm actually an English major/political science major to be exact. I do like poetry; it's just the sentence structure that attracts me more than the breaking off of the images in short clauses.
