It's hard when you've only ever seen the Lions episodes, the Lions have are just so iconic and I always got the sense of Voltron having something that causes it to be more than the sum of its parts. It's harder to get that when it's seems more simply mechanical.

Again, maybe I'd think differently if I had actually seen them but they prove to be rather elusive. They never seem to be available through legitimate channels at least.
