vital Three Stooges movie news!!!

Actually, these are the only 21st century stooges I'll accept (image corruption by: myself) -

So I've thought about this for a couple days since seeing the trailer and I have a couple of thoughts..

Yes, the actors do a (remarkably) good job recreating the antics of the Stooges. I will give them full marks for that..

However, I just can't wrap my mind around the modern day setting.. For me, the Stooges will only seem right set in the late 30s in black and white. Same thing with the Little Rascals movie that was made back in the 90s (??)... Cute kids, cute dog, slapstick antics.. Just didn't look right with modern cars and color.

This will have to wait for Netflix, I'm afraid, unless it gets rave reviews.

Haven't had the chance to see the trailer...

But I do remember the Little Rascals movie from the 90's -- they did an ok job with it, I too agree that it just didn't look right with modern cars and color.

Perhaps they should have gone all in on the concept and shot it in black and white and set it in the 30's.

Yeah, those are my thoughts as well.

Ok, I've got no notions on "what the Stooges" should be. I'm not a fan of them -mostly because they're a few decades before my time. But, at the same time, I do realize what they are and the role they've played in history.

So then I saw a TV-spot for this movie.

And I face-palm.

It looks horrible.
