Star Trek Phase 2 is a web-based series that continues the mission of Kirk, Spock and Bones of the classic Star Trek. Film professionals and fans unite together to produce new episodes.

The episode "Enemy:Starfleet!" features for the first time some visual effects made by The Light Works. We created the opening planetary sequence, the wormhole and the drydock sequence as well as some orbital stock footage. More episodes are currently in various states of post production.

I´ve made a little edit of the fx that we did for that episode. You can watch it at

or

Viewers in germany will have to use Vimeo - youtube keeps blocking the video because I used about 40 seconds of music from the movies...
But I´d recommend Vimeo anyways...

Really nice shot. I'm a HUGE fan of your work, Tobias. I'd give anything to visit The Light Works one day. :-)

Let me add my congratulations to everyone who did the FX in "Enemy: Starfleet." As a long-time lover of space battles and special effects, I thought the effects were nothing short of spectacular throughout. Well done, everyone!

I noticed the Eagle has the USS lettering on the top of the saucer but no name, at least in the top down shot at 28 mins.

Looks amazing! I've been watching TOS-R recently, and this looks a ton better. The lighting, the post effects, the modeling, the wormhole, all spot on.

And to this day I've always wondered what is used for the colour grading on the live action footage to give it that tint. It's always seemed more than just a simple tint, but I haven't done a lot of live action editing. :)

Great work to both of you guys. The FX work in this one was killer! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed to not see the refit phase II Enterprise at the end... Oh well, hopefully soon!
