Virtuality pilot to air on Fox!

Fox is making it up to everyone who's ever damned it straight to hell for cancelling every decent show it gets its paws on. Okay, it's just the one episode, but I honestly never thought it would get even that much.

Saturday death slot, but that's what DVRs are for, right?

Network sources have confirmed to the site exclusively that the two-hour pilot to "Virtuality" will air on said night at 8:00/7:00c.

Co-created by Michael Taylor and Ronald D. Moore ("Battlestar Galactica"), the sci-fi drama revolves around the crew of the Phaeton, Earth's first starship. To endure the 10-year journey, the astronauts use virtual reality modules which allow them to assume avatars and explore self-created scenarios. But just as the mission is about to enter its critical go/no-go phase, a virus begins to infect the system and puts all of their lives on the line.
I'm sick of fireworks anyway and the damn fog always ruins the show here in SF.

Okay Skiffy, where's the Revolution pilot now?!? :klingon: If it sucks so much you dumped it, let us see how bad it really is, so we'll stop bitching about it and learn to respect your brilliance and good taste. :rommie:

This show won't make it past two episodes!

That's a sure bet, since it's just the one episode. :rommie: But Fox may be airing it as an experiment, on a night when there's no point to showing anything but fireworks shows anyway, so no great loss. They probably want to see if people like us are a) impressed and b) start mobbing Subway or whoever their advertisers will be, in order to show their grand devotion, assuming it's worth that devotion in the first place.

They couldn't stick it on a Monday sometime? How about Monday in two weeks? Nothing better will be on, I don't think.

They want to gauge the obsessiveness of RDM fans by sticking it on the night when we're all most likely to forget it's on. ;)

I remember when they were going to burn off the last couple episodes of "Drive" around the weekend of the 4th. Irritatingly, they didn't.

^^ I was just about to say. They said last year they would air the missing "Drive" episodes on July 4th and then they didn't. I never got to see those episodes! So I'd be shocked if this actually happened.

Wait, Virtuality's in trouble? How come it's not getting a 13 episode order or something?

The only way that this one could be more unpopular with Fox is if Joss Whedon was attached in some capacity.....

Just great, I was really looking forward to Virtuality, I guess the only RDM show to look forward to now is Caprica.
