I just read this...
After returning to the "Fast and the Furious" franchise for next summer's "Fast & Furious," Diesel is now looking to breathe life back into the "XXX" franchise.

According to Variety, producer Joe Roth is pitching Columbia Pictures on the tentatively titled "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage," an entirely self-explanatory action vehicle returning both Diesel and "XXX" director Rob Cohen.

Looks like Vin Diesel, who once said he didn't believe in doing sequels has been rethinking his stance lately and the Triple-X franchise is the latest one he has chosen to revisit.

What do you think of the news?

In other news, Vin Diesel will not be returning for Riddick's War, but five years from now will sign up for The Fall of Riddick.

I think I am laughing at yet another no talent hack who was riding high on his 15 minutes of fame having to eat his words now and try to return to the scene of the crime of his previous successes to hope to actually carry a picture.

Is it obvious I'm a vin diesel anti-fan?

It will be cool if he has that GTO and is written the same.

BTW - Vin Diesel was the voice of The Iron Giant. ;)

Both XXX movies were lame as hell. "Chronicles of Riddick" was no shining star, but I'd easily prefer another one of those over this abysmal franchise.

Super-bad-ass protagonists are just fucking dull to begin with much less with vin diesel's dreary droning delivery on top of it.

When's the announcement going to be for The Chronicles of Caparzo, Vin's prequel to Saving Private Ryan???

The first one was misogynistic and stupid. And apparently far superior to the second film! But I never cared for Diesel's acting talents anyway, so whatever.

Back into it? Are they implying that the franchise had life before? I have nothing against Diesel, but "xXx" just needs to be set aside and forgotten.

I wonder how they'll explain away the death that was referred to in the sequel. Then again, since nobody saw it ... Speaking of things nobody saw, has anyone seen The Death of Xander Cage featurette that is on the xXx2 DVD? Another actor plays Cage, natch. Just curious as to how they bumped him off in that and whether it will be acknowledged at all in the 3rd movie.

Can we just pretend it never happened? I didn't understand the need to off him in the first place, except to say FU! to Vin for not doing the sequel.

I hope xXx stays dead really. I'd rather see him do new films or make an attempt at continuing the Riddick franchise.
