Vikings...season four part 2

Pathetic, the winning the princess by becoming king of all Norway?
Pathetic the way it was portrayed, absolutely. He's obsessed with (and stalkery toward) a woman who's obviously not interested in him. His entire motivation is based on a lame excuse / rejection line that she gave him.

Damn, I'm disappointed we didn't get to see the battle itself
I kind of liked that. We've seen lots of battles and what were they going to do to live up to the spectacle? Cut to Aelle being dragged behind the chariot.

The larger issue for me is that while the episode was enjoyable enough, I don't know how long this thing will hold my interest without Travis/Ragnar. The folks still perform well but he was magnetic.

I'm calling that Aethelwulf doesn't survive this episode.

Yep, Harald and Gyda are soulmates....

ETA: I'm calling that Aethelwulf doesn't survive next episode.

The side plot with Floki, Helga, and Tanuz, the Muslim girl, yikes. When Floki is the sane and reasonable one in a relationship, you have entered the Twilight Zone.

That ending was "Mr Worf... FIRE!" all over again.

Yeah, the poor Moorish girl has had it with Helga!

And oh, talk about Coitus Interruptus!!! geez!!

Totaly. For a second there I feared for her, with Floki you never really know. Looks like he has found his own ersatz kid in Ivar, plus his Ragnar 2.0.

I totally called Torvi dying at the beginning of the episode. More reason for Bjorn to continue his bizarre love triangle with his mother. :wtf:

I agree with the predictions that Aethelwulf will not survive the battle. It would mean Alfred would be growing up just a bit faster. Would also mean they're probably going to seriously condense the historical aspect of this conflict.

Sure did, except it wasn't the season finale thankfully.

Yup, although I saw it coming a mile away. Too bad she didn't succeed.

No kidding. The whole plotline has been weird but I loved that twist.

Well then, I'm definitely doubling down on my prediction about Aethelwulf!

(The second one....)

Considering he never even fought the Vikings in real life, I would say anything could happen.
