Video Game TV show on SciFi Channel?

The project, which Howe did not disclose, will have television writers work with a video game developer that will result in a massive multiplayer online role-playing game on the Internet, where game play there would affect the storyline of a series on SciFi Channel.

Talk about thinking outside the box on this one.

Though will this game be free or will those willing to watch the show have to purchase the game to affect the storyline?

Hey, at least it's not another dumbmass "reality show." Sounds like an interesting experiment, but what makes for a good fictional plotline is so much at odds with what makes for good gameplay that I can't see this coming off well. Something has got to lose, and I have the feeling that the storyline will be the loser.

Still, I doubt the results can be as incoherent as Heroes has been of late.
