I am a few days late in posting this, but Friday November 25, 2011, was "Vic Mackey Freedom Day." In other words, it was the third anniversary of both The Shield's series finale and the date on which Vic Mackey's contract with U.S. Immigrations & Customs Enforcement came to an end.
In honor of the series finale of one of the best television dramas of all time, I thought perhaps fans of the show could share some of their favorite moments from the series - whether it's a funny scene, or an example of the show's powerful ability to pull on your emotions is up to the individual poster.
One of my personal favorites doesn't actually have anything to do with Vic or the Strike Team, but rather with Claudette and Dutch. I still can't help but chuckle if I find myself thinking about the episode in which Claudette placed dog feces in Dutch's desk in an effort to teach him humility, particularly the moment at the end of the episode in which another officer (I can't recall who it was, though! Someone remind me) comments on similar practices in other precincts. You're left to assume that Claudette was responsible, though no definitive confirmation was given beyond her pretend "oh, really?"-esque reaction to the other person.
