The mid-season finale of The Venture Bros is here! As is the long awaited return of Brock Sampson!

"Pinstripes & Poltergeists"
The Monarch makes his move on Dr. Venture, just as he's distracted by problems with zoning regulations. But how does Monstroso play in and what are his ultimate plans? And how does it all relate to Brock Samson and the mystery of Sphinx?

"Pinstripes & Poltergeists" Promo

In case you miss it, the episode hasn't been loaded online, yet. It is usually posted on Monday at the official Venture Bros. website.

Brock brought back some thunder to this one.

The SPHINX base on the Venture Compound. Ha. Who knows what or who else is on the compound?

Some GI JOE references in this one, SPHINX and Shore Leave again...but the scientist at the beginning was reminiscent of comic book-only character Dr. Venom. Shore Leave's outfit seemed similar in style to unpopular Cobra character Crystal Ball, which may just be a coincidence. I may be reading too much into it.

Loved it..just proves that what VB needs is more Samson..this episode proves how sorely missed he was in the previous ones.

Liked the showdown between him and 21..even though we didn't see much of it,21 must of held his own and earn Brock's respect so much that he didn't kill him.

Plus I hope they keep using 24 as 21's "spirit" guide,a great way to keep him on the show.

Cigar?

I probably laughed harder at this ep than any other from this season. 24 was a bit of a surprise, and I loved the end with Brock just having breakfast in the kitchen like he hadn't been gone for ages.

Best episode of the season. And finally, Dr Girlfriend is getting fed up with the moppets. Brock and 21 at the end made the wait through the season well worth it

That was pretty good. Probably the best episode this season.

Is it me, but has this season been lighter on the laughs? I mean, the overall stories have been alright, but the level of humor seems to be lower. I don't mean jokes that fall flat, but just that there are a lack of jokes. Am I crazy?

Yeah, there has been more action than jokes this season which is alright but we need a really funny episode like this every now and then.

The past couple weeks have been good for 'em.

I theorize that Hammer and Publick are trading some of the humor in exchange for more character and story development, or else we wouldn't be so hooked this season ...

^ Are we? I don't want to speak for anyone else, but it feels the majority of this seasons episodes so far have been really below standard and kinda forgettable.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. :D

SPOILERS

24: Ghost or figment of the imagination?

21 has a crush on the Monach's girl. Good one. And how sneaky and smart 21 is getting, is nice too.

Broch is back. And 21 squared off against him. Neat. And then they teamed up.

"Is the, ah ... washing machine still warmed up?"

Oh, I've been quite enjoying the season. I think they're really making progress into fleshing out the characters instead of just one-liners. However, I think that there have been plenty of jokes too. So far I give the first half of the season and A.

Great episode. The idea of Sphinx and Brock working from the Venture Compound is a great idea... that should have been in the second episode this season. Why the hell did they spend an entire half season spinning their wheels? Why did they drop Brock and Orpheus and all the interesting characters? Why not go right to this? Sigh.

I dunno. Up until last week, I might've somewhat agreed, but on reflection the only really major letdown was "The Revenge Society," with the crap return of Phantom Limb. The rest have at least been average (or at least Season-3-average :p ).
