Sorry about the delay. My internet is down in my apartment. Better late than never.

"Perchance to Dean"
A severely mutilated Dean clone wants to be treated as if he is the real deal. Meanwhile, Hank and Dermott run over the Dean clone, and believe that they have murdered the original.
In case you miss it, the episode hasn't been loaded online, yet. It is usually posted by Monday morning at the official Venture Bros. website.

Interesting yes, but a little... meh. I miss Brock, and his non-speaking flashback cameo didn't do much for me. That plus Brock's bastard offspring was pretty much played out last season. The doofy faux-loner bit is wearing a little thin.

I do have to admit, though, that Sgt. Hatred is growing on me. His genuine enthusiasm for his bodyguard mission and over-the-top rah-rah style makes me laugh.

But, each season has it's stinkers, and if this is as bad as Season 4 gets, we're likely in for a very good run.

If only they murdered Dermott. Hate that character.

I'm not anti-stand alone episodes, but this was mostly a needless episode that never struck gold...for a second the Shining UPS man was funny, but it never developed into anything good.

So, there's been another person living on the Venture compound for all these years, like the people in the basement weren't enough.

They only have one bathroom? On a place that big? HUH?

Lots of 70's rock refences I didn't quite get.

The cops found mass graves on the compound and yet Dr. Venture is free at the end?

Brock's absence is starting to show. (A non-speaking cameo at the beginning hardly counts.)

It was a meh episode. The episode had an interesting and funny concept, but it never came together in the end. I'm not quite sure what to make of this new season.

I, too, am liking Sgt. Hatred as the new bodyguard.

I too had a moment while watching this episode where I said to myself, "I actually think I prefer Sgt. Hatred as the Venture Bodyguard" Which was odd considering I didn't much care for Hatred last season. Don't get me wrong I like Brock and want to see more of him this season too; I think he's outgrown being just the bodyguard and hope to see what's in store for him next now that he's become a member of Sphinx (I guess).

I found this episode to be very average, but I did like how all the stories warped together to look like a perfect cult compound to the cop. Could have used a super villain attack.

Not bad, not really good either. Average episode.

There was just to much going on: Hank and Dean developing into a real sibling rivalary, Doc playing favorites, Dean-19, the mass grave in the backyard. Just way to many bits and pieces that could have made a great episode, but just sort of got tossed into the gumbo pot. Also didn't like that they
Killed off Dean 19 at the end of the episode
They could have kept him around as a sort of a Phantom of the Opera type character and used him at the very end of the season for some massive revelation.

-- Still thinking Dermot (sp) and his mom are related to the boys somehow. Maybe as disposed of clones themselves, or the mother is the original mother of the boys and Dermot is a Hank clone that she kidnapped in the infant state thinking he was the real deal.

^ Nah...it is all but been confirmed that Dermott is Brock's kid. The mother, however, remains a mystery.

Well we've seen before that there are "methods" in place to clear up things like that.:techman:

It's been reported that Patrick Warburton isn't available to do voice work for the series so we won't see(or atleast hear) much of Brock this season.:(

Interesting. I think Warburton has a lot on his plate, so it's understandable.

Too much going on in this episode, but I do like Dean is suppose to be the next Rusty Venture...is he going bald?

Dean is a clone of Rusty, there have been some....subtle hints of this

Which would be precisely something the creators would be apt to do: Lead us one way, while the show runs the other way.

Fair point, but I think if they were going to do that, they would have done it by now. Or at least played that aspect up a bit.

Personally, I think we fans give the writers a bit too much credit. They did a really awesome bait-and-switch the first year, something that they really haven't done a lot of since. However, we've been looking and overlooking at things to find stuff that may not necessarily be there.

I hate Dermott too, little jerk will hopefully become a Monarch Henchman and end his life the way Monarch Henchmen do...

Rusty didn't even know they had a staff or manufacturing wing....

Yeah. Rusty is very ignorant and irresponsible with stuff in the Venture Compound.
