Vectoring Nacelles Make a Comeback!

Hmm. I never loaded that movie poster thread. At least they seem to show glowing, spinning blade FX. They do look tilted/rotated, as though the inside "tube" under the cowling rotates for some odd reason.
I'm curious, in this digital age, how might these movie posters be created? Do the contracted artists get inside resources like meshes, or do they just wing it? Just wondering what your thoughts were; years ago, painted posters always seems to have "stylizations" and innaccuracies. These days I would think they could easily start with something accurate.

You know, I wonder if the whole damn inside "turbine assembly" spins, like some complicated rube-goldberg egg-beater kinda thing?

...It looks like there may have been some truth to those rumors. Unless it's just an error on the poster....
Yeah, it looks like there was an error on the poster - it should look like this:

I think that addresses pretty much all the nay-sayers' complaints, doesn't it?

(BTW, is this the first fully-sombreroed image of the new Enterprise? I think it is.)

I think this one was one of the first, but you can't see the port warp nacelle, so perhaps it doesn't count?

^ Also, I don't see any canon cannon on both versions. Those can't be part of the official Sombrero Canon. :vulcan:

Nope, nothing is tilted. There are two vent-like features on the top of the nacelle "cowls", and you can see them right where they should be in this poster.

She's packin' quite a wallop in that poster though...

I don't know about vectoring nacelles and all, but the Enterprise looks like it is getting trashed in that movie poster

This either an incorrect painting and/or a hint that the nacelles do move outward (i.e. Voyager) - faster warp, further they move out.

Though there does seem to some hints of this in the new video game - LINK - nacelles are further apart.
