They don't believe people even understand what IMAX is, and it may be mostly true.

<average slack-jawed, knuckle dragging neanderthal movie goer explaining IMAX> "Uhhhhh, it bigger." ;)

Most people only know IMAX as IMAX at AMC, and most of those are something close to 16:9 AR. 1:1.89 to be exact. This would have been a good poster for a Batman in Cinerama release :)

Since when did a movie poster have to conform to the movie's aspect ratio? Most movie posters over the decades have been vertically oriented, quite unlike the movie screens. They're not film clips, after all, just promotional art.
Since never, I thought the comment was self-evidently silly enough not to warrant a winking smiley or whatever. That's the problem with text, it's always deadpan.

Don't forgot that famous Abraham Lincoln quote:

"Nothing is so self evidently silly online that others can't mistake it for being serious."

Or Confucius' addition to it:

"Conversely, some serious positions online are so self evidently silly that people mistake them for jokes"

Infamously repeated by Michael Scott as his own statements in the hit TV Show "Working"

Basically, like "Springtime for Hitler" from the Producers?

Well THAT was creepy! This and the theme have impressed me.

ETA: That cast interview was interesting. I'm going to cross my fingers that the movie is as good as the cast think it is.

I'm guessing he was responding to the common criticism that it looks like he's playing Emo Batman?

Bought my ticket to an early screening in 15/70 IMAX (aka Real IMAX) on 3 March. Thanks to our COVID restrictions, I’ll have room on either side of me (masked, max 50% capacity, and no consecutive seating unless the several seats were bought together). Obviously I’d prefer a packed house with no pandemic but while it’s still on, I’ll take whatever small comfort I can.

It took me entirely too long to realize that Penguin and Catwoman are on that poster twice (or is it three times for Penguin, if thats him getting grabed by Batman near the bottom). I like that the poster has a bit more style then just being generic headshots, but they probably didn't need copies of most of the people.

Well, Batman's on it four times (once without mask). My guess is this poster depicts different moments in the film.

Man, every interview with anyone involved in this movie has new "potential characters and storylines" for the sequel being suggested. Feels very calculated to gauge fan interest. I'm waiting for someone to suggest The ScoutMaster.

Pattinson on Jimmy Kimmel, including a new clip:
