Vanguard: Reap the Whirlwind-why so expensive?

In the mean time, I just put my 170-odd Star Trek novels into the new bookcase in the new house..... :D

We did that for a while but ran out of room! I had to face the fact that there were some books that I was never going to read again and they were just taking up space.

I ordered this book about a week ago from a place that is about an hour away. It's still not here yet and there is something wrong with the online tracking so I don't know what's up. I could have gotten in my car and gone and picked it up.:angryrazz: I would have had I known.

edit: So I get a note saying oops...they didn't have that book. Bit the bullet and bought the e-book. Oh well, at least the charity I support on Amazon smiles got a little bit more with this one.

The problem is that S&S is basing the eBook price on the print-on-demand price and that makes the eBook price stupid.
I've indulged in a Print-On-Demand edition of a book exactly once: Barbara Owen's E. Power Biggs: Concert Organist, from a wholly owned subsidiary of University Microfilms. The photographs were rescreened. Badly. And some of the resulting moires are downright obnoxious.
