Vance's Schematics II

I think you need to do a schematic of Vektor's new design of the Enterprise that he designed for his vision for the upcoming movie!

I've only seen a couple of shots of it.. if it's okay with him, then sure. (Granted, the more ships I do in the current style, the less time I have to figure out what the heck I'm doing in Canvas. :) )

Ranger Class Scout
From FASA

thanks! i've always rather liked the ranger, for some reason. although the dorsal view is pretty clearly the best side.

Fasa stats for the Ranger are as follows
lenght = 87 meters width = 57 meters Height = 21 meters

weight = 55285 mt Mk I, 59145 mt Mk II, 63325 Mk III

Crew = 73 Mk I 77 mk II and 3
Troops 6 for all versions

Shuttle Craft = 2

I hope that helps :D

nice rething on the Ranger by the way Vance :thumbsup:

I WONDER IF THEY CAN GET KLINGON FOOTBALL WITH THAT...

In Star Fleet Battles, a Scout is usually a variant of some conventional hull design (Cruiser, Destroyer, Frigate, etc.) with the addition of Scout Sensors (often replacing weapons). When SFB creates pictures of Federation Scouts, they place a full-size antenna dish (the one off the front of the secondary hull of a Constitution class Cruiser), one for EACH Scout Sensor, somewhere on the outer edge of the primary hull. That is EXCEPT for the Hermes class Scout, which SFB adapted directly from the Star Trek Technical Manual. If SFB designed the Hermes from scratch (following their own rules), it would have EIGHT such antenna dishes, in addition to the one that originally came attached to the bottom of the hull...

(I made a picture as my first experiment with Vance's Toolkit, but I'm kind of new at this stuff and I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do with it...)

Great work on the Ranger Class actually makes it look worthy
of having a model kit version of the Ranger class on a desk somewhere in that era of Starfleet history :)

Hey Vance! How about taking a shot at Gabe Kroenberg's Enterprise "reboot" (movie AND TOS version)?

I thought he only had a TOS variant... I'm not against drawing it up, but it's going to be pretty far down the request list. This next week I've got a LOT of FASA to clear out... and then get back to work on the 'New Orleans' primary hull.

And, of course, learn Canvas in the meantime so I can up my skills to resemble Jackkill. :)

So, not a 'no', but 'be patient'? :)

Vance, no prob on patience... :) (BTW, did you ever get a PM from me?)

As for Gabe's Enterprise, he's done TWO: the one everyone's seen (which is a MOVIE variant, as shown by the hull detailing and the torpedo pod on the interconnecting dorsal, and a "classic TOS" one that isn't that far along (only being physically modelled but not "skinned" yet, which I found in the photo directory on his site.

If you want, I can shoot you some reference pics of the latter, or a link, just let me know...

Masao Class Deckhouse Destroyer (U)
