Yes, it was the Dark Horse book by Jim Shooter that I meant. Between the fact that it was Dark Horse and the fact that it was Jim Shooter, I was expecting much better.

Can you give me any details on what the Dynamite book was like, or a link to more info?

Hope it's OK to revive such an old thread, but for the first time in ages, we have real news on the Valiant movies.
It is being reported that Vin Diesel is in talks to play Bloodshot. It looks like some of the behind the scene figures have changed since the first post in the thread, it is now being directed by Dave Wilson, who I'm not familiar with, and written by Arrival writer Eric Heisserer. I tried looking up Dave Wilson on Wikipedia, and got a bunch of results, and I'm not sure which, if any, were this one.
