Valiance-Class Battleship...

I like the bridge forward design and the saucer in general. Is it a single nacelle? And what makes it a "battleship?" By the windows it doesn't appear to be unusually large, nor is it apparently bristling with weapons.

2 nacelles, and considering i didn't draw the windows (I generally do not draw them) the size is not what you may expect. Also Trek generally does not ever "bristle" with weapons...as they are designed in such a way that the weapons are not usually overly evident or rather obtrusive. :)
more on the way

Hmm, very interesting design. The forward jutting bridge is quite a nice touch, and it seems pretty stout.

I'd really love to see some other angles of this one to get a better idea in my head of what she looks like three dimensionaly.

Pretty Design and im guessing weapons pop up from hidden hatches or something :) :techman:

Wow! Another unique design - I like it! More angles would be great if you can provide them.

Is this a TOS-era ship like the Eventide-class?

Cool! Where is the warp core? I assume not in the usual place in the secondary hull since the nacelle runs through that space.

Yes, other views will help us to see how the naceles are mounted, and other details about the ship too. :)

Dude, that is awesome. I just thought of an awesome idea for the front view, but I'm going to wait and see how close it was to what you were thinking. :)

Looks a little like a predecessor to the Excelsior class, but neck-less, or an early ancestor to the Sovereign class. Which is a good thing in case you were wondering, given that those are two of my favorite designs. The downward positioning of the nacelles however is something that I don't recall in many vessel classes from before TNG-era and beyond.

I'm guessing you haven't even done any of the weapons yet, since it seems you usually work out where they are mounted in later development stages, unless those two pairs on the top of the side of the saucer are phaser banks.

Ah, okay - I guessed right on the basic design. I like how you have the nacelles integrated into the engineering hull - that makes sense for a battleship where you want to provide more protection. Not sure about the warp dynamics but hey, this is science fiction after all. :)

I very much like it!

Pretty damn cool looking! I'd imagine she's probably less than speedy at warp, but she's a very solid and well defended design!

Reminds me of a couple of FASA RPG ships. I don't have the book (because I'm at work), but Starship Tactical lists them as the Lenthal and Thufir Class... I have to look at the book when I get home, because those names don't sound right. Then again, it's been a year since I looked at it.

I kind of like it. Not keen on that one "bridge?" offset location. It seems a little greebled out for my taste, but meh. Overall, it's a decent ship. Tough looking. I like the drawings more then the 1st image.
