Vague memory from science fiction show years ago.. somebody name it?

Okay, this is a memory of a science fiction show I saw years ago. A young man, presumably a human, was speaking with an alien female. He had apparently done some research on the places that caused their arousal, and he touched her side or back or something--- she, an alien, was clearly offended by this gesture. (as I remember it, this was somebody he had known from the past, but, again, very vague memory of seeing this).

That's all I have. It was a long time ago, and I remember this scene, but I have no idea what show this was. Any ideas? It's not a huge deal, just wondering what this memory of seeing this random show is from.

A remember something similar happening between Cathy and Sykes in Alien Nation: The Series.

Once you said Alien Nation it made me think that's the answer even though when I read the first post I had no idea where that was from.

That's what it sounds like to me too (Alien Nation). I seem to remember that scene too.

Yeah, the touching bit said Alien Nation to me as well.

The scene I recall from AN is Sikes trying to teach Cathy how to dance, and when he puts his arm around her he touches a spot which can cause arousal in Tenctonese females.

Our community at the time was a late adopter of the FOX Network, so I only saw one or two episodes of the show and since I hadn't seen the movie, I never developed an interest in the show.

HOWEVER...of the two things about the show that I really, really remember was that the Aliens got drunk drinking soured milk, and the whole touchiness thing.
