There's actually going to be a show called The Surrealtor?
Shocked that the move out of primetime resulted in a ratings uptick, that generally doesn't happen. Tried to get onboard but it just...didn't click with me. The bullet time splatterfests got tiresome early on. I did appreciate the civilians as leads over having a military based focus.
With parent company NBC/Universal-Comcast following everyone into the streaming space with its new service, Peacock, its unlikely we'll ever see anything as extravagant (budget wise) as the network's past offerings. Brave New World which debuts next month, was diverted from Syfy to Peacock...A recent rewatch of Defiance available on Amazon Prime made me more appreciative of the show, more than I was when it was airing. It had a healthy budget (compared to shows in recent years), and got to mine its world and characters decently. I guess VQ, even with such a low budget won't be the recipient of a pick up elsewhere. For those who stayed with and enjoyed it, I wish you could've got more.
