Vadic’s ship and crew

Krog

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Hi folks,

this might already been brought up somewhere else… but… is it just me, or the Shriek and the crew look very Breen? I mean, they are modern, reinvented Breen, but even the way they talk might be Breen?

It also looks Son’a. That’s because the same guy who designed the Son’a and Breen ships designed this ship.

I just posted this idea in the other thread:

Vadic's crew sound like Xindi Insectoids ... maybe they are wearing bird masks to honor the Xindi Avians?

Possible, but from Prodigy we know that at least some of the Xindi are friendly with the Federation by this point. And that was Reptilians. If THEYVE no longer got animosity with the Federation then likely the same can be said for the insectoids. .

Vadic's ship the Shrike and its crew are in all likelihood topflight mercenaries given a blank check by the Founder renegades (middlemen?) and whoever else in this anti-Fed conspiracy.

They could be wrong but the subtitles identify who they are...
I know what other people's captions have said, and I re-watched it this weekend using the in app captions for Paramount + and it didn't spoil who they were, interestingly.

So for me the jury is out on who the crew is, exactly.

Only seems to be in the Canadian subtitles.

So on the Star Trek Cruise - the Caption card for Vadic's outfit says

It is a creation of costume designer Micheal Crow and Star Trek: Picard costume department under supervision of Mitch Kenney. In Mr. Crow's words. "I worked to create layered textures and a sense of tortured fluidity in both her costume and those of her crew. It speaks to their true nature and history".

Her crew reminded me of the crew of the USS Cygnus ...

I admit, I've found it amusing to pretend Vadic is an alternate Tam Elbrun and the Shrike is an alternate Tin Man. Just for the lulz.
