Erica was an idiot going outside knowing what had just happened to the world's population.

haha seriously. Would have been the best ending ever if she went into bliss-mode cuz her stupid ass went outside.

I knew as soon as she went outside she'd find Jack there, the writers on V are consistently obvious ;)

BTW, I'm almost hoping this is the series finale because I have this little nagging fear in the back of my head that if the show returns we'll find out Anna faked Tyler dying to torture Lisa.

That would be a way to bring Tyler back. In scifi, there is ALWAYS a way.

I dunno... I was never bothered by Tyler as much as it seems many of y'all are.

Erica finding Jack fit the story, and went back to what he had said about wanting to look to the sky and see "God" instead of Anna. That's not what he got. Obvious, maybe, but part of the story.

And I really hope this isn't the end.

Maybe it's just me, and I'd hate for Tyler to be alive...

But when "Lisa #2" was presented to Anna by Joshua, I got the impression that it was in fact Lisa pretending to be the newly hatched queen and that everything that transpired was a faux-creation to dupe Anna.

It's doesn't exactly track with how the Lisa in the dungeon responds to Anna, BUT then I remembered the line about giving the new queen the relevant memories she'd need. What if that did in fact happen but in reverse, so that the new queen thought she was in fact Lisa... and was watching Tyler, etc. etc.

It's just tripy enough with all the "V science" they throw around to work.

Thoughts?

You'd better be wrong if it gets renewed :vulcan: ;)

Erica's plan was stupid. Even if she hated her mother, she should have never allowed Lisa to be the one to kill Anna, at least without someone else in the warehouse. There was too much of a chance that Lisa wouldn't have gone through with it. Dumb plan.

Excellent

I can't believe it... V possibly ended with its very best episode. That was awesome. Just the fact that they killed off the two most annoying characters on the show would have gotten this episode an excellent grade. But overall, this episode was awesome. I did not really care if V survived past this season, but after seeing this episode, I am now hoping for a season 3.

See I agree with you. I think the writing on the show has gotten a little better with each episode. Now that they are to this point where it is so good, they better give it at lest one more season to wrap it up. I could be wrong...but I think the show will be played out by then.

I don't mean to nitpick, this is an instance where it's important to clarify pronouns and their antecedents. The first "she" in your second sentence is obviously referring to Lisa (not Erica), and the second "she" talks about Erica (not Lisa). The construction, though, sounds as if "Erica hated her mother," and we know that's not the case. ;)

EDIT:

I re-read your sentence, and the confusion lies in the use of "her" as in "her mother." Although the answer is obvious, whose mother are we talking about? Erica's or Lisa's? One could say that Erica hated Lisa's mother (Anna).

Heheh. True that.

Tyler has to be one of the most annoying, useless, and clueless characters in television history. I mean, his character literally brought nothing to the table.

:guffaw:

Actually he did bring something to the table....He was able to consistently piss:angryrazz: the viewers off with his stupidity.

So is Lisa 2.0 the new hero of V for the viewers? :)

Piss viewers off and inexplicably bang Laura Vandervoort. How can anyone respect Lisa's character for being in love with a twit like Tyler?

Not sure if I want this show back. I have to commend them for offing the two characters most in need of being offed (too bad Chad didn't make it a trifecta), but it's painful watching the Fifth Column's quarter-assed plans. Couldn't plant a sniper on a rooftop just in case Lisa couldn't go through with killing her mother, huh? It's not like you just sprang the plan on her or anything...

Interesting view. It doesn't make sense for Lisa #2 to be ready to mate with Tyler anyway since they had to wait for Lisa #1 to get into her breeding cycle.

I'm disappointed by Diana's demise. Such a waste.

Tyler was better with the longer hair.

Did anyone notice that this episode made mincemeat of Erica's so-called character arc? She was supposed to learn that it's a bad thing to be ruthless. However, what caused disaster was Lisa's lack of ruthlessness. What humanity really needed was a daughter who could shoot mommy in the back. :rommie: Erica's problem is not ruthlessness, but inability to come up with workable plans. (SNIPER, dammit!)

There was a lot of overly convenient writing in this episode. Erica should have been screwed due to her sloppiness, but conveniently, her FBI chums are all with the Fifth Column! Yay! Anna waited for eons for Lisa to become fertile, yet Lisa 2.0 is fertile right outta the egg (otherwise, the V's are screwed). Yay! Child V's are capable of killing adults, despite this not being a usual feature of any species I can think of. Yay! Marcus illogically confesses and Anna illogically forgives him. Yay!

If this show comes back (I don't think ABC is that desperate but you never know), it could still be fun. I don't might sloppy writing as long as the antics are nasty and hilarious, and the casting mistakes are killed off forthwith. I don't think Chad is dead at all. Anna will keep him alive, blackmail him and torture him exquisitely with some nefarious scheme. Tyler might be back, if Anna decides to use his hide to dress a new offspring and pass him off as Erica's kid. That would be frakking hysterical. :rommie: And would torture the audience, too, just as we thought we'd seen the last of the guy...

Well, they did speed up Lisa 2.0's development to adulthood. Going all the way to fertility must not have been a problem.

Actually her FBI "chums" are with Project Aries, not the Fifth Column. Different groups.

I seem to recall the egg's development being accelerated. It hatched not as a baby, but fully grown. Lisa probably matured naturally. Lisa 2 did not.

A human child can kill. Human children HAVE killed their parents. This child is half human, half alien. Uncompromised V have no emotion. She has been taught to hate her father. She probably can't control her alien part/instinct, hence her acting with her tail.

Marcus' loyalty to his queen would include confessing his sin. Anna absolved him, for the moment, but made it quite clear what would happen next time.

Truth. This was more fun than V usually is, but boy was it all contrived. My eyes nearly rolled out of my head when it was revealed that the FBI folks -- who had been investigating Erica for collaborating with the Fifth Collumn -- were part of the resistance all along! Huh?

Oh, that's evil. I liiiike it. I liiiiike it.

(She would have to do something like that, wouldn't she? The show has never addressed how the Vs have been covering up all the Liveaboard deaths to date. Maybe they all get replaced by Visitor sleepers?)

That sounds like something that would be done. Erica doesn't know Tyler is dead. If Anna is suspicious of her, I could see Anna skinning someone to look like Tyler. They could get some play out of that before the doppelganger gets discovered and dispatched with, by either side.
