Yay! Tonight I'll watch V... with a constant scroll moving across the bottom of the screen to tell me that 3% of the votes have been counted and who's in the lead based on that 3%.

I'll be here, I'm going to watch this, I've heard good things about the pilot. I never have watched the original before this weekend, I was a kid when this first aired on TV so I missed out on that, but I did catch some of it this weekend on SyFy.

The snarky kid who was all, "Which was a rip-off of any number of alien invasion movies..." was bit to broad for believability.

Try harder, show.

Ok. This show doesn't know how to write for teenagers.

And I've got to say, people and the media are taking the invasion and visitors in pretty good stride.

I think the lame sf fan comment noted above is part of it... this is actually an alien invasion show where people have seen alien invasion shows, which is somewhat refreshing...

He'd last about 2.35 seconds on 24...

Apparently this show is writing Catholics as well as it writes teenagers.

Well they've done a fine job of recapturing the subtle character dynamics of 1980s TV thus far...

Go to say, I'm not feeling this show too far. Everything is happening too quickly and everyone is taking this too well and in stride. I mean, days after the ships arrive and we're just totally cool with sending tour-ships to a friggin' space-ship!

And the teenage characters aren't written well at all.

You've got to do better, Show.
