UNITED STATES SHIP SARATOGA (SCV-2812)

The USS Saratoga is an SCVN (Space Carrier Vehicle Nuclear) of the John F. Kennedy class. It is the space equivalent of a US Navy aircraft carrier and serves as the base of operations for several Navy and Marine Corps squadrons. It’s armament includes laser pulse cannons, phalanx missile launchers and torpedo launchers. Not capable of atmospheric flight, the vessel is powered by a helium 3 fusion engine and measures 1,724 feet in length, 804 feet in beam and 608 feet high. The Saratoga is commanded by Commodore Glen Ross.

I miss the old STARLOG spaceship handbooks.

I'd love to see something similar...

I think need a magazine like Starlog to publish one as a special issue. None of the sci-fi publications still in business seem to want to do that.
