USS LAFAYETTE TOS Version

Hello everybody;
After a long time, here I am again.
I'm starting a new project with sketchup. The USS LAFAYETTE NCC 1916.

The refit 1701 was designed as 305m but the production people built the sets to fit a ship that was at least 355m in length. The cargo bay is too wide, the rec deck too tall, the engine room hallway too long, etc.

Doug Drexler’s cutaway (seen in “In a Mirror, Darkly”) scales up the Constitution-class to 1420.5’/433m (150%) in order to fit everything in. Ship should have 6' doorframes and 8' ceilings.

150%, really? I never saw that particular number before, but yeah, there’s no way what we saw of the Enterprise in TOS fit into 947 feet. (Then again, there’s no way what we’ve seen of the Enterprise in SNW could fit into 1420 feet! :brickwall: :D)
