USS Hawking at warp

lonewriter

Lieutenant Commander

Here is the USS Hawking, a Nova class variant. I see a map is missing on the shuttlebay so I'll have to fix it but otherwise I am happy with it.

Very nice. May I ask what modifications were made to the model to make it a variant of the Nova class (other than the accidental lack of shuttlebay?) It looks as if it is missing inboard intercooler fins for one.

Different intercooler fins, additional plating inside the bussard collectors, a different dorsal ridge...thing, a new dome over the bridge and the big forked deflector on the saucer was fulled in with a traditional-looking nose that featured a much smaller, inset, Voyager-style auxiliary deflector and updated escape pods. Oh, yeah, and they took all the deflector shield reinforcement ridges off and removed the shield grid from the secondary hull.

There are come comparison shots on this page.

Oh, I assumed it was a variant different from the Rhode Island. I do prefer the Rhode Island variant over the Equinox original.

I also added a change from the Rhode Island in the back there is a rear dual torpedoe tubes (similiar to Voyager) and the Rhode Island didn't have it. Glad you all like it.
