USS ENTERPRISE HAYNES OWNERS MANUAL (Part 3)

With the passing of Ralph McQuarrie and the release of the M. Falcon book--I wonder if it might be a good idea to make a Federation saucer based on the Falcon (minus the cockpit escape pods, etc) with the very simple details for a Planet of the Titans ship saucer...

There was one done along those lines several years ago, mostly from parts of the Polar Lights kit. You can find it (and the massive station it's attached to) at the bottom of this page.

I just picked up the Haynes' Millennium Falcon manual. Nice book and I'm looking forward to reading it.

After having browsed the Enterprise book, I couldn't bring myself to waste money on it. I'll have to browse the Millennium Falcon book. As a side note, I wish Robert Brown's old "Ship of Riddles" page were back online.

It's too bad he didn't have a part in the Enterprise book. The Klingon Bird of Prey has a great design, but it's been used so many times in so many Trek productions that I'm sick of it.

Maybe Rick will have alternate versions and other drawings to flesh it out--at least have the Archer-era ships, maybe get the rights to the FASA Romulan 'Bright One' and call it a hybrid...

New art is what is needed.

I've seen some nice kitbashes on Starship Modeler and Klingon BOP-like designs in Computer games--Klingon Acadamy on Starfleet Command (the SFB inspired computer game)

Having warp nacelles in place of the disrupters might be nice for a long range version. Diane Carey even wrote of a BoP carrier...back when it looked like a smaller sublight ship dropped off by a mothership--so there are alternatives...
