USS ENTERPRISE HAYNES OWNERS MANUAL (Part 3)

I remember their DS9 poster and their TOS Enterprise. Chapters update...they still don't have any in stock at stores but you can now order it online.

So they're still in business, but they haven't come out with anything new in, what, a decade?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Hmm...interesting. I just checked Amazon.ca. They now list the book as in stock and retailing for $18.80 Canadian. That's quite a discount.

I think they moved into working the Star Wars franchise in the early 2000's after completing their Trek projects. More lucrative at the time with the new trilogy having come out. They have a "Sketch Gallery" on their site that shows a TOS Bird of Prey, Klingon Dk'Tang (sp?) knife, Fed tricorder (24th c.) and the Defiant in early design stages. I doubt we'll ever see them, but they look pretty interesting all the same.

^I don't have it yet, but I thought it was pretty clear from previous comments that it doesn't cover that version, only the "prime" universe ships.

^^ There's a brief mention of the JJprise under the "alternate timeline" section, but nothing substantial.

Thanks, guys....does anyone know where I can find some in-depth data concerning the design if the NuPrise?
Rob

Yeah it was announced fairly early on that the JJ prise would not be included in the book. We probably won't get anything on the schematics on the new Enterprise.

They want to keep it loose, so they can resize it again if they need to. Never know when you're going to need a ship with a crew of 6 million.

Come to think of it, it would have been nice if they'd had short sections devoted specifically to all the alternate/mirror universe Enterprises. At least it would have beefed up the book a little?
