USS ENTERPRISE HAYNES OWNERS MANUAL (Part 3)

Sort of. There was a flash-forward in one episode of Enterprise. We saw part of a corridor with a window. One of the starship calendars had a more detailed version of the schematic/illustration that appeared on a panel of her wall.

Still, we know so little about the J, or the technology of the day, or the technology of the days around the day, there's nothing that could really go in there about it.

The Enterprise-J appeared from the future in the episode "Azati Prime" , according to Wikipedia it's class was "Universe".

Yeah, I'm fairly certain I'm in the extreme minority that actually likes the 1701-J. In any case, I can't wait for this to come out... I must have a copy. :)

Seriously, a ship appearing in like only 5 minutes in only one episode of the least known show, a ship that has only been on a tiny computer display for a couple of seconds, and people wonder why it's not in that book?

I'll be picking up the Kindle edition when it releases. There's not too many tech trek books on Kindle sadly.

Yup. I can't think of a dedicated e-reader that doesn't. The iPad has a colour screen but it's more than just an e-reader.

I see a trend in using automobile repair-manual publishing houses for sci-fict and sci-fact. I think the book TERRAFORMING was published by the SAE if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps they will do the ships of Stargate, now that that magazine is folding as Starlog and OMNI did.

It's got elements of FJ and Drexler in it. I'll pick it up out of curiosity, but I think the definitive layout is still out there in limbo somewhere...just like the 1/350 scale TOS E so many of us are dying to have.

Actually when I think of the TOS E's layout I think mostly in terms of elements borrowed from many people who put forth their own ideas: MJ, FJ, aridas, Shaw, CRA, Professor Moriarity, and others.
