USS Canopus, Almagest-class deep-space explorer

Ok so enough of the TOS era, I now wanted to create a super-modernised version of the Enterprise shape... essentially a late-24th century explorer.

Keen-eyed readers will see that the deflector is based on one of Eaves' early 1701-E designs. The ship is also equipped with a photon cannon, based on an idea for the Phase II Enterprise.

I used Bolsterbold and Good Times, not Bolt, but to answer your question, I didn't know about Millennium. I also don't know where to get it.

Ok another update today. I removed the "phaser cannon" which didn't really fit on a dedicated explorer. The cutaway has been improved with more detail, same with the components view. I changed the colour of the impulse engines and ramscoops, and adjusted a few other things.

Some have expressed the desire to compare the latest versions of my work with previous ones. Because of the way Deviantart works I don't normally do it, but for this one at least I have a Tweet that contains the previous version here:
